Katie is a licensed independent social worker and has been in the field for about 10 years, working with a variety of backgrounds and cultures. Her focus is on helping people work through whatever might be holding them back and giving them the tools to live happily, guiding them to make the choices and decisions that are right for them. Using a nonjudgmental approach, all are welcome, not matter the issue, whether it may seem big or small. Together you will work through negative beliefs and get to the root of the matter, freeing you to live life the way you choose.
Katie believes in the importance of treating the whole person and is also a Register Yoga Teacher-200. She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Therapy, and DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy) to treat depression, anxiety, anger, trauma, grief, addictions, stress, low self-esteem, and more.
