Lori Collner, RYT-200
After a decade of yoga practice, Lori enrolled in her first teacher training as a way to gain more knowledge of yoga philosophy and practice. Although adamant that she was never going to teach, midway through she discovered a passion for guiding others in practice and never looked back. Soon after completion, she was teaching more classes per week. than all of her fellow trainees. Of course, between being a psychology instructor at a local university and subsequently spending the next chapter homeschooling four children until the youngest was in college himself, she was no stranger to teaching.
Lori received a 200RYT from the now defunct Thank Yoga under Josie Schweitzer in 2015 as well as Reiki Master Practitioner certification from Yoga on High and advanced studies certification with Yoga Detour. She is currently a student of Functional Range Conditioning (FRC) and will be soon be beginning a trauma informed course of study. Her classes are Vinyasa based and mobility centered with a liberal dose of FRC, Katonah, Pranayama and Hathaway. She teaches Gentle Yoga as well as Power Flow styles.
Lori is an avid swimmer and strength trainer and enjoys helping others to reach their full potential through those modalities. She volunteers with the Red Cross as a medical transportation specialist when not working at her organizing business “Needful Things”. She lives in a 100 year old house in Old Town East with her husband, two dogs and youngest son.
