Robyn's belief that a mind-body balance is necessary for overall well-being is the foundation of her therapeutic approach to yoga. By emphasizing the connections between breath, visualization, and anatomy, Robyn tailors yoga classes to meet the needs of her students. A student of yoga since 2003, Robyn became a teacher in 2008 after completing the 200-hour teacher training program under the supervision of Laurel Hodory in Columbus, Ohio. She has since taught yoga in a variety of settings and styles and continues to further her own learning by taking yoga workshops, classes, and developing her home practice.
Robyn appreciates and values yoga's teachings of staying present and practicing mindfulness and acceptance. She has been most recently influenced by the teachings of Felicia Tomasko and Jason Crandell who have inspired Robyn to teach classes that challenge students to tune into their bodies and observe what is taking place. Robyn obtained a Masters in Social Work from Ohio State University in 2010 which has given her the knowledge to incorporate techniques into her classes in order to create a type of yoga practice that helps people find balance on and off the mat.
Robyn is available for private yoga instruction. For more information, contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call 614-305-5102.
