How Can Therapy Help You

The therapists at Renew Wellness are trained, certified, or are approved consultants in EMDR therapy and provide a variety of complementary modalities to individuals seeking holistic healing in a safe and welcoming environment.

In-Person & ONLine Therapy

To meet our clients' needs, Renew Wellness offers in-person and online sessions.

We recognize that there may be barriers in obtaining therapy whether it is location, anxiety, or scheduling conflicts.  We want to eliminate these barriers as much as possible by offering counseling that is accessible and convenient.  We are committed to meeting our clients where they are, whether it's in one of our peaceful and calming offices in-person or online from the comfort of their homes.

We employ:

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Therapy
EMDR reprocesses past traumas, stressors, and other significant life events through bilateral stimulation that still hold power in the present by means of beliefs and emotions so you can find your best self.

EMDR Therapy Intensives
EMDR intensive sessions allow the opportunity to progress through the core memories associated with present day problems in a more succinct and comprehensive way.  Traditional sixty-minute sessions can be limited in that by the time you are in touch with the unresolved past issues, it is time to wrap up a session.  Longer sessions allow for more time and space to resolve larger portions of unresolved experiences.  Length of sessions and duration of treatment are unique to each individual and their level of need.

FSAP (Feeling State Addiction Protocol)
FSAP breaks the fixation between feeling and behavior, which is the cause of behavioral and substance addictions, such as smoking, alcohol and drug use, gambling, sex, eating, etc.  Once the fixation is broken, through EMDR, there are no further cravings or urges that have to be controlled or behavior that has to be managed.

DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy)
DBT combines cognitive and behavioral therapy, incorporating methodologies from various practices including Eastern mindfulness techniques.  DBT enhances behavioral capabilities and improves motivation to change.

Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Therapy
It is so easy to get wrapped up in the "I should haves" of the past and the worries of the future, that the present is muddied, causing the littlest hurdle to be overwhelming or the most pleasant experience to be missed. Mindfulness allows individuals to fully experience the present, good or bad, non-judgmentally, one mindfully, and effectively.
